SPECIAL PROJECTS :
R.J. Sinclair has been involved in many Special Projects including :
Vehicle Storage -
R.J. Sinclair has designed a number of new large scale (up to 10ha) sites for new vehicle importers in Queensland, NSW and WA, and has been responsible for the relocation and setup of such facilities in both Queensland and NSW.
Educational Facilities
The practice has worked in the Australian Technical College and Community Education systems to provide designs for new and upgraded educational facilities, and has worked with local government in the child care centre field.
Baggage Handling System -
In preparation for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games R.J. Sinclair was commissioned to design the steel supporting structure for the new baggage conveyors for the upgraded airport, including bag scanners, integration with existing structures, all hung from the underside of existing and new building structures.
Public Sculpture
R.J. Sinclair was commissioned to prepare structural engineering design of the “Convict Lumber Yard” public sculpture in Newcastle, featuring the use of special corrosion resistant steels, and a large “wireframe” sculpture.
